Unfortnuately the freedom of movement and interesting gameplay offered with the dual-stick design of the first iterations of our game has proved to be a hindrance to our development speed; and through testing, the overall user experince was lacking.

Now, we have taken a new direction to focus more on the actual end goal and how to reach it which plays out as a point-and-click experience.

Taking this new direction in game design has allowed us to progress at a rapid pace over a short period of time, introducing the following features:

  • Grab a bowl.
  • Fill a bowl with broth.
  • Advance through the different garnishes (they are not present but the trays in which they would be located are now accesible via the gameplay)
  • Different camera views for the varying areas of focus inside the cart. 
  • See customers come in with unique orders, displayed via their personalized order sheets.
  • Interact with the various drawers, radio and lucky cat, as well as other parts of the cart.
  • Music via radio.
  • Randomly generated customers.

These features, while still incomplete, show the not only the swift progress of the game's development, but also the general direction we mean to take in the final stages of development.
